Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Finance Specialist to manage the full spectrum of finance operations for the Dubai entity. This role will be responsible for accounting, tax compliance, and audit coordination, while closely following Group Finance guidelines and reporting to HQ.
This is a standalone role requiring a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day finance activities.

About the Employer:
Our client is a ship-owning company within the shipping industry, with global operations. The Dubai office serves as a regional subsidiary, operating under the guidance and policies of the Group Finance team at headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for the Dubai entity (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Group requirements
Handle UAE VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and CT regulations, including preparation of returns and coordination with Group Finance and external advisors where required.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
Coordinate with the Group Finance team and ensure compliance with HQ policies and procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required by HQ
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting
Assist in ERP/system usage and ensure data accuracy

Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
3–5 years of UAE experience in a similar finance/accounting role
Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting
Solid knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
Prior experience in the shipping industry is an advantage
Ability to work independently in a standalone role
